Unbelievable: Morgan Wade goes public with new gay relationship with Kyle Richards’ friend Kesha. Kyle Richards’ ex-husband laughs at it
After meeting through mutual friend Kyle Richards, Morgan Wade, and Kesha have become pals and collaborators.
Kesha was featured on Morgan’s song, “Walked on Water,” which came out in August 2024. The country songstress opened up about what it was like to work with the two-time Grammy Award nominee in a feature for Inked Magazine.
“When [Kesha’s song] ‘TikTok’ came out, there was a pep rally at my school with a song she did and I immediately became super enthralled,” Morgan told the outlet about how she got to know Kesha’s music for the first time. “I have great memories with my friends and cousins listening to her first record and have been listening to her all these years.”
Fast-forward to their initial hangout and Morgan hit it off with Kesha. “When I was able to meet her, I saved ‘Walked on Water’ for her,” the 30-year-old added. “She’s one of those people where you leave her feeling better than when you got there. She’s just incredible.”
When the song first came out, Morgan gushed about her connection with the “Die Young” singer and how the track came together to ABC News Live.
“I just love everything that she’s done. I think she’s such a great person, so I was finally able to make contact with her. I’ve been wanting to do that for years. And, so we met and then we sat on the beach in Malibu and we talked, and then that night, she was like, ‘I’ll meet you at 7:30, 8:00 in the studio.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, A.M.?’ She’s like, ‘No, P.M. Let’s go,'” Morgan recalled. “We went and she sang on my song. That child in me was super excited, and she’s so great.”
Inside Kyle Richards’ friendships with Morgan Wade and Kesha
As The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans know, Kyle became close friends with Morgan amid her separation from Mauricio Umansky in 2023.
Kyle was first introduced to Morgan through her music. After hearing Morgan’s song “Wilder Days” on the radio, Kyle became a fan of the country star’s other song. Kyle eventually reached out to Morgan on Instagram, and the two struck up a friendship. The diamond holder decided to film a documentary about Morgan’s life and career, so she spent a lot of time with the singer on tour.
Kyle met Kesha in a similar manner. “I met Kesha over Instagram. She was following me on Instagram, and I followed her back, and we said, ‘Oh, we should get together for dinner!'” Kyle said on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. “I drove out, we went to Venice or something, and I sat down — you know when there’s that person you automatically [click with]? We just started talking about everything and sharing everything and sharing all our secrets.”
Kesha even popped up on RHOBH Season 14, Episode 6. “I just automatically connected with her,” Kyle continued about their bond. “She’s just so sweet and has such a big heart. [She’s] kind, not judgmental, talented, creative. So anyway, we started hanging out and we became really close friends, fast.”
