Meanwhile, Karen Huger‘s prison sentence is just beginning, but new reports say that “The Grand Dame” is already planning her next move after she concludes her year in the big house.Additionally,
Karen filmed a short scene before reporting to rehab, and many feel she did it for damage control.As everyone in the Bravo fanverse is aware, Karen was taken to prison immediately after her sentence was handed down. It has also been reported that the RHOP star actually turned down a previous plea deal that would have seen her only serve 60 days in jail for driving while under the influence.
There was also an offer on the table where she could have simply done six months of house arrest. According to The Daily Mail, Karen is starting to lay the groundwork for her life after prison. Apparently, she wants to return to reality television.
Karen is also said to have aspirations of being a role model for people after being released.A source told the outlet, “Everyone is shocked… But this doesn’t mean that she will not be welcomed back ever by any means.
”They went on, “She is determined to turn her life around and get clean to serve as a role model, and if she does this and she is back on the right track, she could very well be welcomed back. Everyone loves a success story, and the cast and crew have gotten to know the real Karen.
This is just very unfortunate, and everyone is hoping for the best for her.”In other Karen news, she made another prerecorded appearance at the most recent part of the RHOP reunion.
This time, the Bravo cameras were in her home and showed Karen right before leaving for her short rehab stint.In the footage, she discussed her use of antidepressants and alcohol, and she said that she didn’t see the body cam footage before her trial.
Still, most of her castmates weren’t buying what Karen had to say.“I’m sitting there in the courtroom, like, I have to finally watch it, because I kept saying, ‘Well, surely they made a mistake, right, because everything’s not connecting for me,’” said Karen to Ray.
“I’m telling you, I didn’t recognize that woman. I didn’t know her.”Karen then insisted that she had “blacked out” right before the drunken crash, and seeing the arrest footage was helping her put the pieces of what happened that night back together.The general consensus from the ladies was that she was trying to save face by addressing the many issues she knew people would question.
