First passion
Before finding a passion for acting, he pursued a football career – following his uncle’s background in the Australian Football League.
During his childhood, he played for a children’s club in Coorparoo and later the Kenmore Australian Football Club. It was during his time with the latter that he took a step back from the career due to a knee injury.
George discovered his love and gift for acting during his final two years of school, when his mum got him to study drama.
His drama teacher helped him audition for a place at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, which he later attended.
