Bethenny Frankel, star of ‘Real Housewives of New York’, claims to stop fighting with children and move to another city
Another celebrity is making Florida their new home.
“The Real Housewives of New York City” alum Bethenny Frankel announced on social media last week that she is swapping the big city for South Beach.
“Excited to share this with you … It’s been a concept for a while but personal & private circumstances have made this the healthiest life choice,” Frankel captioned her video.

Bethenny Frankel, 54, is an entrepreneur, author and reality TV star, best known for her appearances on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City” and it’s spin-off “Bethenny Ever After.” She is also the founder and CEO of Skinnygirl, a lifestyle brand.
She has recently taken over TikTok and Instagram with her short snippets into her life and thoughts, particularly those involving her love of chicken salad. She has nearly 3 million followers on TikTok, with more than 120 million likes across her videos.
Why is ‘Real Housewives’ star Bethenny Frankel moving to Florida?
Frankel shared her reason for moving south in a video on her Instagram over Easter weekend.
“I am moving to Florida for personal and professional reasons,” Frankel said. “Something has arisen that made this the best and healthiest for myself and my daughter.”
She added: “We will maintain residences in the Hamptons and New York City because we love New York. This will be our primary and permanent residence.”
According to US Weekly, a source told the magazine the move reflects her daughter’s academic and athletic goals, and was “made with her physical and emotional well-being front and center.”
Frankel shares 14-year-old daughter, Bryn, with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy. After a lengthy divorce, Frankel was awarded full custody in 2020. The pair finalized their divorce the following year.
Where is Bethenny Frankel moving to in Florida?
Bethenny Frankel did not share exactly where she would be moving to but one commenter might have let it slip. Fellow Bravo “Housewives” star Lisa Hochstein of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” welcomed Frankel to South Florida under the clip.
“I kept your secret and I’m glad it’s out,” Hochstein wrote. “Welcome to Miami.”
In the Instagram video, she also showed off her new view of the beach from her backyard.
Which other ‘Real Housewives’ stars live in Florida?
South Florida is home to several members of the Bravo family. “The Real Housewives of Miami” debuted in 2011 and has seen several breaks between its six seasons. Its newest season has already been filmed and is supposed to air sometime in 2025.
The current castmembers are Hochstein, Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigove, Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, Dr. Nicole Martin and Kiki Barth.

Other housewives have migrated south to the Sunshine State, particularly those from New York. According to Palm Beach County Property Appraiser records obtained by the Palm Beach Post, fellow RHONY alum Sonja Morgan bought a 1,700-square-foot condominium for $600,000 in March 2024.
Another RHONY castmate, Ramona Singer, may also have a condominium in West Palm Beach. Property records show a person named Ramona Singer bought a unit in August 2021 for $715,000.
Jill Zarin moved to Boca Raton in September 2023, according to US Weekly.
