Home and Away fans hit out at ‘suspicious’ storyline for newlywed

What a year it’s been for Home and Away fans so far! They’ve had to contend with scammers rolling in and out of town, Irene taking up drinking again, a good old-fashioned kidnapping (or two? I can’t keep up) and a bunch of other misfortunes that really makes you question why anyone in their right mind would want to live in Summer Bay.

Yet, in the midst of all of that drama, people still find the time (and the energy when they are not too busy escaping from cults and kidnappers) to fall in love. Awww.

Two of those people, of course, are Justin (James Stewart) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou), who tied the knot earlier this year, much to the delight of fans everywhere.

However, this is Home and Away so you know that the happiness is bound to be short-lived before someone is killed, bribed or reveals their secret identity with little care for continuity or plot holes.

The latest storyline on the long-running soap involves mysterious newcomer Claudia, played by Rachael Carpani. Claudia arrived in Summer Bay after crashing her car and, in a twist of events, Justin was implicated in her accident, as his nephew Theo Poulos (Matt Evans) serviced it at his garage prior.

After being threatened by Claudia, Justin agrees to meet up with her and it’s not long before he’s blowing off his wife and starts sneaking around.

Fans worry about Claudia and Justin storyline

This shady development had plenty of fans worried that Claudia would come between Justin and Leah, with many of them taking to social media to share their concerns. Now, according to Back to the Bay, the fans might have been justified in their suspicions.

You see, thanks to Claudia’s broken arm and her penchant for manipulation, Justin has been running around acting as her chauffeur so that she can still make all of her appointments. Has Justin told Leah that this is what he’s doing? Ha ha ha, no, silly! That would be preposterous.

So, Justin has been living his ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ era and has even started to strike up a bit of a friendship with Claudia after he realises that her very important business is conducting home assessments for veterans.

Anyway, Claudia confides in Justin that her marriage is on the rocks but then he tells her that he can’t keep helping her and that as soon as her arm is healed she’s on her own. Dunzo.

“Justin believes it’s the last time he has to help Claudia,” James Stewart told TV Week. “He can see the finish line.”

Oh, you silly boy Justin. You silly, silly boy. Naturally, instead of leaving him be, Claudia is set to lure him “to a remote cabin in what looks to be an attempt to seduce him.”

Per TV Week reports, when Justin rejects Claudia’s attempt to kiss him she is NOT happy and so, she does what any woman in that situation would do. She leaves him the eff alone takes his car keys and throws them into the bushland, leaving him stranded at the cabin with no phone signal.

Fans are already weighing in on this latest debacle, with many of them saying it was exactly as they suspected.

“He shouldn’t be running around for her behind Leah’s back,” one said in a Facebook group.

“I knew she would do that, she doesn’t care that he’s married and only just got married, she wants him and she’ll cause more trouble to get him,” said another.

“Justin should tell Leah the truth. She will understand. But keeping it from her makes it more suspicious,” a third added.

“I could see that coming,” yet another said.

“Knew that would happen Justin is too kind-hearted,” was another opinion.

“Who didn’t see this coming?” another fan said.
