“I don’t really fall in love very easily.”
Home and Away cast member Matt Evans has spoken candidly about his love life.
Matt joined the Australian soap as Theo Poulos last September, and the character initially made a distinctly polarising impression on longtime fans.
Theo first turned up in Summer Bay seeking help from his aunt Leah, fresh from being kicked out of his dad’s house for defrauding customers at the family’s car dealership. He also tried to come between Ryder and Chloe not long after his arrival
Sitting down with the Australian Daily Telegraph, Matt was asked about any real-life romances in the making.

“There is nobody on the horizon at the moment,” he said.
“I do write a lot of love songs, which is funny because I haven’t had many girlfriends and I don’t really fall in love very easily.”
Matt also spoke about his love of music, as The Voice Australia auditionee went on to reveal what it means to him to have his original material soundtrack the show in upcoming episodes.
“That is super exciting for me because it is really nice to have both of the worlds combine,” he said. “It has been hard almost letting go of music by just doing the acting for a while so it is really nice to be able to do both.”

On his character’s mischievousness, he also commented: “I went in there with a clean slate and I am learning so much day-by-day.
“I guess I’ve always been a bit of a class clown and I loved impersonations, so it feels kind of natural for me to jump into a character.”
