The 48-year-old, best known for playing Justin Morgan on the Australian soap since 2016, revealed he will be taking part in the next series of Channel 7’s Dancing with the Stars.

The actor is following in the footsteps of a number of Summer Bay icons, including his on-screen partner Ada Nicodemou, who won the show in 2005, and last year’s runner up Emily Weir.

“The secret is out…. I’m taking a spin around the @DancingAU dance floor!” James will be partnered with Jorja Freeman, who has been a professional dancer on the show since 2014.

Jorga has won the show twice since her debut, the first in 2019 with actor Samuel Johnson and again two years later with Home and Away star Luke Jacobz, who starred as Angelo Rosetta.

This will be the third time Jorja has been paired with an Aussie soap star as she performed with Andy Barrett star Tai Hara during her first series. James and Jorja have already begun practising as he added in the caption: “My dance partner @jorjarae_ has taken me under her wing to teach me some exciting routines and I can’t wait to show you!”

A number of his past and present co-stars rushed to support him in the comments. Penny McNamee, who played his on-screen sister Tori Morgan, penned: “You got this, twinkle toes.”

After discovering she returned to the Bay without telling him, Justin headed straight to his partner during Wednesday’s episode (March 13) and begged her to come home. Although Leah insisted she wants to fix their relationship, she reiterated that she needs space.
