Home and Away star Rebecca Breeds has revealed she is pregnant with her first child.

The Australian actress, 37, shared a photo of her growing baby bump on Instagram while attending the premiere of the new Kangaroo Island movie at Adelaide Film Festival. In the movie, Rebecca plays Lou Wells, a struggling Hollywood actress who returns to Kangaroo Island to confront her family’s past.

Thanks @adlfilmfest for having us and everyone who came to support us.” Rebecca wore a long pink dress paired with high heels and smiled for the cameras while cuddling her baby bump.

Many fans rushed to the comment section to congratulate Rebecca and her husband Luke Mitchell on their happy news. One wrote: “Congratulations Bec and Luke! Very exciting news.” Another added: “OMG CONGRATULATIONS.” Someone else said: “You look amazing.” A person added: “We’re so excited for you guys!!!”

Luke and Rebecca have been together for nearly 15 years, after falling in love on the set of Home and Away in 2009. In the series, he played Romeo Smith while she played Ruby Buckton. In May 2012, they got engaged and a few months later, in January 2013, they tied the knot.

They lived in the US for a number of years but then returned to Australia. Rebecca previously told TV Week: “It’ss been really, really nice just to ground ourselves and be back home. I finally have a garden – I’ve been wanting to have a vegetable garden for so long. So we’re literally putting down roots back home and that has been very soothing for the soul.”

Describing the time they lived abroad abroad, she said: “It was really powerful to have someone who was your anchor and your home base, because it can be a very difficult experience, moving away from everything you’ve ever known. Our industry has a lot of pressure and a lot of highs and a lot of lows. It can be very lonely.”
