“Real Housewives'” Brandi Glanville Shared A Photo Revealing She Has A Potential “Face Parasite,” And Why She’s Been Low-Key Lately
Warning: This post mentions sexual assault.
You might’ve noticed TV personality Brandi Glanville has stepped away from the spotlight.
She’s known for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
She’s also appeared on other reality shows like Celebrity Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother.
Now, the RHOBH veteran is clearing up misconceptions about her health, her retreat from the spotlight, and her attempts to seek out a definitive diagnosis from medical professionals.
For a bit of context, on Dec. 5, Brandi posted on X, “It’s been over a year since I’ve been dealing with my health issues & haven’t been able to keep up with the videos, but I’m BACK on @cameo.”

Based on the video, she received criticism for her appearance, and people questioned the validity of her health condition.
On Dec. 7, Brandi followed up with another post revealing that the Cameo ad was an old video. She only used it to promote her return to social media. Brandi said she would share what she actually looks like now and why she had to take a break from the internet in the first place.
Brandi explained that her condition, which she’d experienced for over a year, at one point caused face swelling, and she wasn’t even able to speak.
What she’s describing is that she’s potentially living with a parasite in her face. “I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” she added. “I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”

Regarding treatment, Brandi claimed she’s gone to an immunologist, an infectious disease doctor, a rheumatologist, and an ENT (an otolaryngologist who treats your head, neck, throat, nose, etc.).
“Honestly, I have so many doctors, and I’ve had so many tests. I did lab work for $10,000,” Brandi said. “They ran every test under the sun. They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite that’s new.'”
Brandi claimed that she’s spent “over $70,000” so far, and nothing has led to a permanent solution.
The reality TV personality believes that her health condition is a result of her time filming in Morocco for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
“We had food sitting out for hours on end, and some of it was meat,” Brandi asserted. “Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing. It started in July, and we’re still here trying to figure it out.”
Describing the potential “parasite,” she claimed it feels like “tiny bubbles bursting” on her skin or it’s “having babies in my face.”
Brandi said after so many doctor visits, “I’m not getting my hopes up anymore.”
“Everyone thinks I’m so tough, but I’m fragile right now,” she said in the interview. “It’s a very fragile time for me. I don’t remember a day when I haven’t cried. So leave me the fuck alone.”
