‘Real Housewives’ star says she will become a nun after husband’s affair
Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Jennifer Aydin is opening up about her husband Dr. Bill Aydin’s affair.
During an appearance on the December 18 episode of her RHONJ co-star Teresa Giudice‘s podcast, “Turning The Tables,” Aydin referenced that her husband cheated on her over a decade ago. Aydin said she decided to move past her husband’s infidelity by not allowing it to affect their relationship.
“When I found out about Bill’s affair, and I decided to move on from it, I turned the table by putting it in a vault and throwing away the key. Never thinking about it, never bringing it up in a fight,” said Aydin on Giudice’s podcast. “Never throwing it in his face. Literally going on with my life as if it never happened. Because I chose to be happy, I chose to stay and I can’t bring it up and keep throwing it in his face. So you know what, I made the decision to forget about it. And forgive somebody that I love.”
Aydin went on to say that she believes “happiness is a choice,” especially in relationships.
“You can choose to dwell. Or you can choose to not let it affect you. And that’s what I do,” said Aydin.
Jennifer Aydin Said She Does Not Believe Her Husband Is a Cheater
Aydin mentioned her husband’s affair in an August 2024 interview with Ok! Magazine. She stated that she has chosen to not hold his past infidelity against him.
“When you forgive, you can’t keep bringing up a thing that hurt your family — it will only cause a vicious cycle. He’s a good man that did a bad thing. A mistake that he’s so embarrassed and sorry about that I hate even mentioning it to him,” said Aydin to the publication.
In addition, Aydin said she did not believe Bill Aydin “is a cheater.”
“He’s a man who cheated, and he just got caught up in a moment with someone who was extremely flirty and he got away from himself,” said Aydin during the interview.
Jennifer Aydin Said Bill Aydin Does Not Enjoy RHONJ
In an October 2024 interview on “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Vicki Gunvalson‘s podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” Aydin said “Bill is not a fan” of the RHONJ.
“He’s a professional. He’s a medical doctor. Sometimes it does affect his business. It could affect it so, he is not a fan of the show. He doesn’t think production has done right by me. Even, like, my most vulnerable season they still found a way to make it look like I got what I deserved,” said Aydin to Gunvalson.
She said, however, that while he would prefer if she did not film for the show, he is willing to be on camera with her.
“That’s why I love Bill. Bill is a great plus one. Because no matter where you take Bill, he will adapt and be a team player for the heat of the moment,” said Aydin during the interview.
RHONJ is currently on hiatus.
