Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Bronwyn Newport revealed new details about a story she shared on-camera about her marriage to Todd Bradley.
During a December 18, 2024 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the Bravo newcomer clarified that her husband of eight years did not cheat on her and that their past issues were more of a “misunderstanding.”
“A lot of it was a misunderstanding,” she told host Andy Cohen. “We have different boundaries. Todd never did anything physical with anybody. It wasn’t a big affair. It was really that I was uncomfortable with how much he was talking to somebody who was very flirty with him.”
Newport explained that when she shared the story with her co-stars it was to illustrate how she takes things “really personally.” “What I was trying to tell the ladies that night is that I’m insecure,” she said. “I take things really personally. It’s hard for me and I use that as an example, I wish I hadn’t.”

Newport’s emotional scene she shot during a cast trip to Puerto Vallarta, and it aired during the season 5 episode “La VIDA Loca.” During a boating excursion, Newport called out some of her co-stars for talking about her marriage to Bradley without getting to know her first. “If anybody had asked me about the real [expletive] I’ve gone through with Todd,” she said. “How hard it is to be a stepmom, how hard it is to navigate being with someone who’s older and successful. And the infidelity that we’ve had in our situation.”
When asked about the “infidelity,” Newport continued, “A couple of years ago, we were on a trip, and he was texting someone on his iPad and [my daughter] Gwen went to say something to him and Gwen saw it over his shoulder. So, Gwen came to me, and I confronted Todd.”
Newport reasoned that part of her husband’s personality is that he is never satisfied in business and that it’s “hard to turn that off when you come home.”
She also revealed that Bradley apologized by gifting her a five-diamond ring with “five promises.” “It was five things he didn’t promise me when we got married that he probably should have,” she said.
While Newport called her husband from Puerta Vallarta to tell him about the upcoming RHOSLC scene, Bradley opted not to watch the episode. “There’s just some things you don’t want to see,” Newport explained on WWHL.

Elsewhere on WWHL, Newport said viewers don’t get the full picture of her marriage to Bradley. “I think two things are happening here,” she said. “One, so much of what’s really special and wonderful between Todd and I, but he wants to be private, so I knew that was never being filmed for the show. And then also, I wanted to just go on the show and be myself. … I just kind of put everything out there. …Everybody wants to like look perfect and happy on TV and I’m kind of like well there’s some days that Todd drives me crazy.”
Newport told Us Weekly that her husband is okay with her being on RHOSLC but it wasn’t until they were filming that he realized “how uncomfortable he was on camera.”
“There is still more talk about my marriage to come in upcoming episodes and that will be difficult to watch back,” she added. “I really confided in the ladies about some old stuff that’s going on between him and I and maybe we weren’t in a place for me to confide in them quite yet. So, that’s always on me. It’s definitely not about Todd. We’re happy. I love him to death.”
