Ashley Darby Finds New Love Interest on Real Housewives — But Are They Together Now?
lthough Ashley Darby officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Michael Darby, in November 2024, she’s been getting back in the saddle with dating since they separated in the spring of 2022.
In fact, fans are getting to see her romance journey play out now. Ashley and Gizelle Bryant, who’s also wading into the dating pool, met up to try their hand at speed dating in Season 9, Episode 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“Now I’m really looking for somebody who has those qualities that could really be a life partner for me,” Ashley said in the episode. “Someone who’s family oriented. Understands the idea of responsibility and commitment. Someone who’s very attractive. Well-endowed. And I’m honing in on those qualities now.”
Although Gizelle met 30-year-old Josh first, he eventually sat down with Ashley for three minutes of flirting.
Ashley Darby Meets Josh at Speed Dating Event
In just three minutes, Josh revealed he works in sports as a director of operations for professional sports venues, and that he grew up playing baseball, soccer, and wrestling. He also shared with Ashley that he grew up on a farm.
Gizelle approved of Josh and Ashley’s flirtation, noting at the end of the speed dating, “I like Josh for her.”
Later, Ashley decided to go on a true first date with Josh.
“I had to go with Josh,” Ashley said in her confessional. “I had some great conversations. We can build a chicken coop or two. Go collect some eggs together. Ride off into the hills on a tractor into the sunset.”
On their date, Josh revealed that he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when he was 28 years old, and after having surgery in March 2023, he was in remission.
“He’s 30,” Ashley said in her confessional. “Little bit of a young buck for me. But, knowing that Josh survived thyroid cancer at such a young age, it really sheds more light on his personality. Josh seems to be mature beyond his years.”
Are Ashley Darby and Josh still dating?
No, Ashley Darby is currently single.
Ashley had nothing but great things to say about Josh after their first date, and she was seen sitting on his lap at a party in the mid-season trailer for Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“Josh is a pretty great guy, and whenever we talk, it feels like everyone else in the room disappears,” she said in her confessional.
But since then, Ashley and Josh appear to have stopped seeing each other. After Ashley filed for divorce from Michael, she shared more with The Daily Dish about what she’s currently looking for from a boyfriend.
“Maybe a guy who’s like, 40, right? Has a kid or two. Already been married. That would be kind of ideal,” she said.
She suggested that she may have been holding back in her love life before officially filing for divorce.
“Even though I’ve been separated for two years, there’s always been a feeling that I’m still attached in a way,” she told The Daily Dish. “Now that’s officially ending, and I have freedom to do life my own way, and I’m very excited to see what that looks like.”
