Tyler Baltierra took to social media after a video of Carly singing at church has been circulating online.
Tyler and Catelynn Lowell have been adamant about keeping Carly away from the online community.
Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis, avoid showing Carly to the internet as well.
In Tyler’s statement, he admitted that Carly’s photo has not been shown in 11 years.
“To say I’m disappointed is an understatement,” Tyler started on his Instagram story.
He said, “It’s literally heartbreaking & sad that people are still continuing to share pictures & now videos of Carly. The same people & pages who brutalize me & Cate with daily cruelty/hate for just speaking about our adoption story publicly, are now participating in sharing her actual picture & video publicly.”
Tyler said he and Cate made a promise to Carly’s adoptive parents to not show her face online.
“I’m beyond heartbroken for Carly & her parents (if this is something they truly didn’t want),” he said.
The MTV star added, “Every Sunday, I would watch that morning worship, hoping & wishing I’d see her beautiful face & voice that day. I would watch in silence, through tears & feel so much joy in my heart & I made sure I kept it private to myself.”
