For all that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Erika Jayne lost amid her split from Tom Girardi and ensuing legal issues, she made at least one major gain: a tighter bond with her son, Tommy Zizzo.
During the third and final part of the RHOBH Season 14 reunion, Erika gave a rare update on her only child (with her first husband, Thomas Zizzo), revealing that the Los Angeles police officer had recently traveled to New York City to see her star as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway.
“I see that kid all the time,” she told host Andy Cohen of their relationship today, adding, “We’re super close.”

Erika went on to add, “Thinking about the last four years and the Tom [Girardi] of it all and the trial and all of that s–t, the one thing I gained out of all of it was a closer relationship with my child. And, I mean, this sounds hokey, but it really is true … If that’s what it took — to lose everything but really strengthen my bond with my son — fine.”

Though Tommy has “very much demanded his privacy,” as Andy put it, and never appeared on RHOBH, he recently stepped into the spotlight while giving televised testimony in a high-profile court case in January.
Erika said she was “glad he got to reveal himself [in] his own way,” though.
“He has his own identity and his own life,” the “XXpen$ive” singer elaborated.

Though Erika’s estrangement from Tom catalyzed her closer relationship with her son, the two have yet to officially divorce.
When the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host questioned her reason for not filing to legally end the marriage, Erika responded, “You know, it’s funny. I don’t have an answer for that, other than my divorce attorney reached out to me the other day and was like, ‘We need to get on this.'”
She continued, “I think also, too, truthfully, that was like the lowest of my problems. What difference does it make?”
After previously revealing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show that she had not been in touch with Tom “in any way” after he was found guilty of embezzlement in August 2024, Erika added on the reunion that she has no plans to ever communicate with her ex again either.
“There’s nothing for us to say to one another. I’ll never get answers to the questions that I still have,” she explained, noting that she’s “worked really hard” to navigate her “grief” and let go of their relationship. “So, I feel like if I were to… Nothing good would come of this.”
