Good News: RHOBH star welcomes first granddaughter after 20 years of infertility
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais has welcomed her first granddaughter.
In a January 31 Instagram post, Beauvais’ eldest son, Oliver Saunders, announced that he and his girlfriend, Shantei Paranada, had a baby girl named Valley Marie-Claire Saunders. The post featured a picture of the baby’s feet.
In the caption of the post, Saunders shared that his daughter was born on January 31. In addition, she weighed in at “6 pounds 2 ounces” and was 20 inches.
Beauvais shared her son’s big announcement in her Instagram Stories.
Saunders is also a father to a son named Oliver Jr., whom he shares with his ex-wife, Samantha Saunders.
Social Media Users Congratulated the Couple
Several social media users took to the post’s comments section to congratulate Saunders and Paranada for their new addition.

,” wrote a commenter.

Garcelle Beauvais Opened up About Her Relationship With Oliver Saunders on RHOBH Season 14
In RHOBH season 14, episode 5, Beauvais spoke about her relationship with her eldest child. She said that she and Saunders had a difficult relationship because of his past addiction issues. Beauvais, who has two younger sons, Jax, and Jaid, said Saunders “was in a really dark place for many years.” She also emotionally said she “had to practice tough love,” even though she knew Saunders was unhoused.
Beauvais clarified that Saunders is “now in a great place.” She also said Oliver Jr. has been a bright light for her son.
“Thank god for OJ,” said Beauvais tearfully on the RHOBH episode.
People magazine reported that Saunders made similar comments about his son in a 2021 interview with Confessional Magazine. He suggested that despite going through rehab and therapy, he was unable to fully focus on his sobriety until Oliver Jr. came into his life.
“Even though I told myself when I felt like I was ready to stop, and I wanted to stop I could, but it was easier said than done. Then I swear, I swear, it was God, and my wife and my son, and it was just one day, none of that stuff mattered,” said Saunders in the 2021 interview.
