Former Home and Away star Sam Frost has opened up about her health struggles during her pregnancy.
The actress, 35, found fame on the second series of The Bachelor Australia before going on to play Jasmine Delaney in the soap between 2017 and 2022.
In her dramatic first scenes, Jasmine arrived in Summer Bay and was involved in a car crash which killed Kat Chapman (Pia Miller). She was later stalked by her abusive ex-boyfriend and married Robbo (Jake Ryan).
Her exit storyline saw her move away to care for Robbo’s mother after she suffered a heart attack.
Off-screen, Sam has recently announced that she is expecting her second child with partner Jordie Hansen.
On Instagram they wrote: ‘Our family is growing from three to four. It has been a wild ride but we are extremely grateful our little one is healthy and doing okay in there.
‘We are all very excited to meet you, especially your big brother!
‘Huge thank you to our family and friends for all their love and support over these past few months. We love you xxxx’
The couple were engaged in 2022, before welcoming their son Ted a year later.
She’s since opened up about a difficult time faced during her pregnancy, following a diagnosis with hyperemesis gravidarum.
Symptoms of the condition include extreme morning sickness which can cause dehydration, weight loss and a potentially premature birth.
‘I was unable to eat or even swallow water without throwing up, so it wasn’t a fun ride, especially while trying to look after a toddler,’ she told Stellar Magazine.

‘It’s an enormous privilege to be able to carry a baby so I don’t like to talk about the negatives too much.’
She also revealed that she’d spent three months ‘literally in the foetal position’ to try and combat the pain she was in.
Sam continued: ‘I feel really peaceful and fulfilled. I love being a mum. I’m a family person and an introvert, so home is my safe space.
The family have their own TV show on the 7 Network, which follows their travels through the countryside.
