Home And Away issues ominous warning about new character Eliza: ‘Things are about to explode’. Marilyn could be next to go

While UK viewers won’t see Eliza’s arrival for a few weeks yet, she’s already been stirring up trouble on Australian screens.

Aussie viewers have seen 14-year-old Eliza come to the Bay after being assigned to Roo Stewart in an urgent fostering case.

Eliza has been separated from her family after a terrible fire at her home – and the show has been dropping hints that she could have been responsible for starting the blaze herself.

The new arrival has also been behaving particularly strangely around Roo’s friend Marilyn, sensing that the Summer Bay legend doesn’t trust her.

Home and Away‘s newest promo trailer has now revealed that Marilyn and Eliza’s feud is about to get worse.

In upcoming scenes, Eliza repeatedly makes sinister comments towards Marilyn, hinting that she could get hurt.

Marilyn later tells Roo: “She’s been making veiled threats towards me, okay? I don’t feel safe.”

Tane Parata, who’s had his own run-ins with Eliza, also has his say in a tense exchange with Roo.

He demands: “What is it going to take for you to realise that there’s something seriously wrong here?”

Meanwhile, with shots showing Eliza playing with a lighter, the trailer warns: “It’s all about to explode”.

What does Eliza have in store for the Bay? Whatever it is, it doesn’t look good…

Roo first expressed her desire to start fostering last year. She spoke to her friends and dad Alf Stewart, who all promised to support her decision – unaware of the danger in store.

Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes on Channel 5 in May.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
