With viewers here in the UK still having a little while to wait until the release of Nicole Kidman’s new erotic thriller Babygirl, we’re happy to report that at least there’s a new trailer to tide us over.
The Oscar winner takes the lead in the new film from Bodies Bodies Bodies director Halina Reijn, playing a married CEO who embarks on a submissive sexual affair with a much younger intern at her company.
Much has already been made in the media about the film’s sexual content, with even Nicole herself admitting before its initial premiere she wasn’t sure if she’d be “brave” enough to sit through it.
The new trailer released on Tuesday afternoon offers more of a glimpse into Nicole’s character’s forbidden affair with her intern, played by Harris Dickinson.
In the two-minute trailer, we see Nicole at home with her family and husband (played by Antonio Banderas), contrasted with her burgeoning kinky affair.

Earlier this week, British GQ published a new interview with Nicole in which she discussed how difficult she’s finding talking about her new sex scenes while promoting the film.
“Yes [it’s difficult to talk about!] Can you tell?” she said. “I don’t know what to say. But I love it.
“I love the film, so I don’t want to deny it or put it down. There’s times where you’re like, ‘I don’t love this film. We tried and it didn’t quite get there and I don’t love it.’ I love [Babygirl].”
Babygirl is due to hit UK cinemas on Friday 10 January 2025.

Keith Urban’s Nickname for Nicole Kidman Has a Connection to Her New Steamy Movie

Getty Keith Urban will always be a supporter of wife Nicole Kidman’s work. He even has her latest project tattooed on his neck—but not for the reason you think. The actress’s upcoming film, Babygirl, sees her character engaging in a steamy affair with a younger intern, but for Urban, it actually harks back to a sweet nickname he has for his wife.
“He actually has babygirl tattooed on the back of his neck!” Kidman said in an interview with W. “I don’t know if [director] Halina [Reijn] knows that, but it’s all part of this sprinkling of fairy dust that happens. Keith’s not allowed to call anyone else Babygirl,” she said jokingly, adding, “But now, because of the film, it’s taken on a different meaning. So he’s like, ‘No, I still have total rights over Babygirl!’ ”
This isn’t the first time that Kidman revealed that Urban has loved her more explicit work. She recently shared that Urban watched her in drama miniseries, The Perfect Couple, and that they loved it so much, they watched the show together. The show contained a sex scene between her and Liev Schreiber, but according to Kidman, her husband didn’t mind in all. In fact, Urban couldn’t stop watching.
Getty Getty In an interview with British GQ, the actress described the show as “binge-worthy because it’s just like, you go, ‘Okay, next, next, next, next.’” She added, “I watched it with my husband…He’s like,’ Okay, let me see the next one. Let me see the next one.’ That’s when I know it’s good when he says that.”
The singer couldn’t help but gush about his wife’s work in an interview with People back in September, and that that he “saw the whole thing before it came out, binged it. It’s been amazing. I’ve had so many people stop me and say how much they love it.”
