Home and Away star caught getting cozy with new actor
Home and Away star Emily Weir has proved the sun isn’t always shining in Summer Bay.
Although it may seem that The Bay – which is actually Palm Beach in Sydney – is in a state of perpetual weather glory, it’s not the case.

Weir was filming for the popular Channel 7 drama on Monday when huge winds hit the location as a “mini tornado” passed through.
Footage of the destruction was posted to Home and Away’s official Instagram page, showing the lunch area ripped apart, tables and chairs turned upside down and a marquee being lifted by the winds and carried toward the ocean.
“So a mini tornado hit Summer Bay today!” the footage was captioned.
“Stay dry everyone.”
Crew can be seen racing out during the wild storm to try to secure items under threat of blowing away.
As things settle down, Weir, who plays Mackenzie Booth, goes out to survey the damage, wearing only a bikini, blue dressing robe and sandals.
The skies are grey and ominous and it’s still raining, but Weir and fellow cast member Kyle Shilling (who plays Mali Hudson) go out to forage for food.
Off-camera, actor Luke Van Os (who plays Xander Delaney) can be heard saying, “Hey, do you guys know what time lunch is?”
“I dunno,” Weir answers.
“I’m just waiting patiently.”
When the footage was posted to Instagram, Home and Away fans were wowed by the “scary” tornado and its aftermath.
“Omg, please stay safe and dry,” wrote one concerned fan.
“Hope everyone is ok. Stay safe lovelies,” wrote another.
“As long as no-one got hurt, that’s the main thing.”
“Further each day …. Blowin’ Away,” another joked.
“Marge the rains are here!” quipped another.
One fan described the footage as “crazy”.
“Wonder if this is a sneak peek for what is to come on Home and Away next year?” they wrote.
“We need something like this in an episode again,” added one follower.
“Next year’s cliffhanger. Who survived the storm?”
“Send in Alf Stewart quick,” joked another.
One fan was amazed Weir was sitting outside in such nasty weather in a bikini.
“She must be freezing,” they noted.
