Home and Away’s new star confirms real-life romance with co-star. “We’re getting married…”

Home and Away newcomer Sophea Pennington has confirmed her real-life romance with co-star Matt Evans.
The actor plays Lacey, a character associated with the River Boys gang, who hasn’t appeared on UK screens just yet.
Although Lacey is with River Boys ringleader Gage, she feels an instant attraction to Evans’ character Theo.
And it turns out that the attraction was also mutual in real-life, as Pennington and Evans are currently dating (via The Post).

“He’s such a lovely, lovely guy and a great person to work with, extremely talented. So I couldn’t have asked for a better co-star,” she said about him, before confirming the rumours.
“Yes, we are dating in real life. He really is the best. And also, it works, you know, I guess chemistry’s chemistry,” she added with a laugh.

“I think, if anything, it creates such a safe space for us – because we’re so comfortable with each other – to be able to really dive deep into the story and the relationship between the two characters.”
Meanwhile, Evans recently said that he “won’t be on Home and Away forever” and has plans to chase his career dreams in the US.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
