Ada Nicodemou has been left shocked after being absolutely schooled by her son when it came to learning Gen Z slang words, but the Home and Away star got the last laugh when she attempted to use the new lingo in a conversation with her son, causing him to walk off in embarrassment.

Ada, 47, and her son Johnas, 12, filmed a video where he explained the meaning of Gen Z slang to her, including words like ‘Gyatt’, ‘Sigma’, ‘Rizz’, and ‘No Cap’. As Ada learned what what the words meant, she then put together a sentence for Johnas which left her son obviously mortified at his mum’s attempt to be cool.

Ada was left shocked after learning ‘Gyatt’ meant ‘big arse’ with Johnas saying he wouldn’t tell her what ‘level’ she had, leaving the Home and Away star more than happy to move onto another topic. After learning ‘rizz’ was short for charisma, Ada replied, “So I’ve got a lot of rizz?” leading her son to quickly retort, “no!”

“I’m going to put it in a sentence,” Ada exclaimed. “I woke up today, and I was so rizz. And I just thought, I’m just going to slay the day at Home and Away!’

The sentence caused Johnas to get up and walk off, with Ada repeating it saying she thought it was “really good”, causing Johnas to slump on the floor.

Absolute mood.

Look, we’ve all probably learned a valuable lesson — there’s no point trying to keep up with Gen Z. They’re in a field of their own. Let them have their lingo, and we’ll cling desperately to our own generation’s slang, despite sounding embarrassing at all times.

But, nevertheless, fans loved Ada’s hilarious video with her son. And if his dramatic walk-off is anything to go by, maybe he can be joining her on Home and Away one day soon.

“My kid said I’m so cringe trying to speak the lingo.” one fan sympathised. “My eldest just gave me the same look when I tried to use them. Apparently it’s cringe if a old person says anything.” another agreed.

“This is so funny 🤣 – it’s a whole other language,” someone else pointed out. “This makes me feel so old lmao 🤣 my son is almost 16 and I’m like wtf did you just say?” someone else shared. “Also don’t get me started on the bruh, absolutely nothing prepares you for that lol.”

“I only know fam and slay 🤣 you certainly keep us laughing,” one fan said. “My 8 year old had a big smile on his face watching that. Thank you for explaining the words!” another fan commented.
