Real Housewives of Dubai star admits the cast were shocked the series has been put on PAUSE – as fans are left reeling over the announcement
The Real Housewives of Dubai star Lesa Milan has admitted the cast were shocked to hear the drama-packed series had suddenly been put on ‘pause’.
Bravo shocked fans when they confirmed earlier this week that the series had been paused after two series, with the show’s future now looking uncertain.
Just days after the news emerged, Lesa, 35, has confessed the cast ‘100 per cent’ thought they were going to get a third run and were surprised to hear otherwise.
Speaking on Fubar Radio’s Access All Areas, she shared: ‘We were 100 per cent expecting a season three and were caught by surprise that we were put on pause.
‘The producers held a group meeting, and said ”listen, you guys did great, but right now we have to put the show on pause, we’ll let you know what’s to come”.’
Despite being shocked by the news, she told hosts Bobby Norris and Ellen Coughlan that she is happy she will be stepping back from the show after the reunion drama.
‘You know what? For me, it’s actually a good thing, because now I can explore and do so many other things and I’m excited,’ she said.
‘I’m one of those housewives that already had a business prior to coming on the show, which is also why the shake up and the pause is okay, now I get to focus on that.’

Lesa reflected on the bombshell reunion as she boldly accused her castmates of ‘lying’ after she was embroiled in very tense scenes in the fiery episode.
‘It was so painful sitting across from someone and watching them lie and gaslight me,’ she claimed.
‘I just kept checking in and checking out. There were moments where I was like, I’m not doing this anymore.’
During the explosive reunion, Lesa and her castmate Chanel Ayan famously accused each other of taking weight loss medication in one heated exchange.
They got into a tense row over Ozempic – a diabetes medication which has also been sold privately for weight loss, and celebrities including Sharon Osbourne and Amy Schumer have admitted to using the controversial drug.
The row kicked off when Chanel quipped: ‘Side effect of Ozempic is always crying.’
Prompting Lesa to retort with: ‘Yeah, Ozempic that you introduced me to.’

Chanel then fired back with: ‘Yeah, because you asked me,’ before Lesa added: ‘Because you were on it!’
Reunion host Andy Cohen, 56, commented that the couldn’t believe they were arguing over the controversial weight loss drug and changed the topic.
Chanel’s newfound friendship with Caroline Stanbury, 48, was also delved into during the reunion, with Lesa addressing why she had called them ‘desperate’ in an interview.
‘I had no issues with the two of them becoming friends,’ Lesa insisted.
To which Andy said: ‘You called them desperate on Watch What Happens Live.’
Despite being shocked by the news, the reality TV star said she is actually happy that she will be stepping back from the show after being embroiled in huge drama at the reunion
‘Yeah, I did,’ Lesa replied. ‘I never felt like it was a threat.’
Tensions then escalated when Lesa produced texts showing Chanel’s discomfort around Caroline.
‘You’re a professional victim,’ Lesa declared. ‘You love to play the victim.’
To which Chanel fumed: ‘And you know that’s the worst word you have used on me!’
