Real Housewives star Teddi Mellencamp’s husband ‘had an affair with her friend’ before divorce

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp is divorcing her husband Edwin Arroyave after he had an affair, according to reports.

Earlier this month the reality star announced that she was calling it quits with Edwin after 13 years of marriage. It’s now been reported that their split has to do with an alleged affair Edwin had with a woman named Missy. Multiple sources have claimed that Edwin had courted Missy between 2015 and 2016.

One source claimed their romance lasted “at least a year,” while another said it was more closer to “six months.” While the first source reported that Missy was Teddi Mellencamp’s “best friend,” the second source claims the two women “maybe interacted four times at most.”

Sources claimed Teddi found out about the inappropriate relationship in March 2016 as she was auditioning to be a cast member on the RHOBH, which she did for Season 8. RHOBH’s Season 8 aired in Dec. 2017. In the past, Teddi confessed that she and Edwin almost ended their relationship in 2017.

One source told Page Six that Edwin was prepared to leave Teddi after she discovered his affair with Missy. However, the TV personality wasn’t ready for it to be over. Edwin reportedly told his then-wife that he had “closed that chapter of his life” with Missy. According to the source, Edwin was “unfaithful” to Teddi, and it “led to a period of self-reflection and a renewed focus on family and faith.”

Additionally, Edwin allegedly told Teddi that he didn’t “remember” any other infidelities so she isn’t sure how many times he stepped out nor how many people he cheated with. According to what a source told Page Six, Edwin hasn’t “repeated the behavior since.”

Edwin’s unfaithfulness being exposed comes in the wake of Teddi’s own affair with Simon Schroeder, her married horse trainer, which was reported amid her filing for divorce. Teddi’s affair with Simon began in May 2024.

A source told the news outlet that Teddi and Simon were away at an equestrian event in Florida together at the time his wife Karli was giving birth to their second child. After Simon got back to Los Angeles, Karli allegedly found inappropriate text messages between Teddi and Simon, which resulted in a confrontation.

“They confessed. Teddi promised it would not happen again,” an insider told The Daily Mail.
