Teddi Mellencamp, despite being seriously ill, still tried to celebrate her 5-year-old daughter’s birthday with her family. The baby cried because she missed her mother.
Teddi Mellencamp’s daughter, Dove Arroyave, is officially 5 years old! As The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recovers from brain surgery to remove tumors, Dove’s dad, Edwin Arroyave, put together a fantastic birthday for their youngest kid.
Edwin took to his Instagram Story over the weekend, where he celebrated his youngest daughter as she celebrated the big moment. The proud dad first took to his Instagram Story, where he posted a photo of his kids he shares with Teddi; daughter, Slate, son, Cruz Arroyave, and of course, Dove; standing next to their eldest sibling, Bella Arroyave (Edwin’s daughter from a previous relationship). In the photo, Dove smiles so widely along with her older siblings, wearing a shirt with the word “five” on it, and showing off her five fingers on each hand, proudly repping her new age.
“In case anyone forgot how old Dove is turning,” Edwin wrote over the sweet photo.
Dove also got to ring in this big birthday with a sweet celebration alongside her “birthday boyfriend” and friend, Cage. Edwin took to his Instagram Story, where he posted a throwback photo of Dove and Cage as toddlers, hugging one another, before posting a photo of their shared birthday cake with their names written in pink and turquoise frostings.
Dove also got some special, one-on-one time with Edwin over the weekend where they got to dance the night away at a “father and daughter dance.” The dad of four was able to snap a sweet photo alongside Dove — who wore a black leather jacket over a light pink dress and silver sparkly cowboy boots — in front of a castle backdrop.
Once she and Edwin were inside of the dance, Dove got to chow down on cotton candy and hit the dance floor with giant glow sticks in hand. She seriously looked like she had the best time with her dad.

Edwin has continued to share many updates on his children after Teddi underwent surgery on Feb. 12 to remove two tumors on her brain. In the days following, he revealed that he took the kids out to dinner, and Cruz even got a touchdown at one of his football games. “It’s a great blessing that the kids have activities they love to keep [them] occupied right now,” he wrote over one photo posted to his story.

He then took to Instagram on Feb. 18 where he posted a statement from the family with an update on Teddi’s health. “Our family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes,” he wrote. “Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover.”
