Terry Dubrow Weighs In On ‘Housewives’ Star’s Medical Crisis
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville opened up about her health struggles over the past year, claiming that she is dealing with a face parasite, which has caused her to experience periods of swelling and irregularity, with bumps along her cheeks.
While Glanville told Entertainment Tonight in a December 2024 interview that she has spent over $70,000 out of pocket and been to countless doctors appointments to get to the bottom of her health issues, Dr. Terry Dubrow from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and “Botched” thinks her search for a solution may not be over.
Though not approached by Glanville, Dubrow shared his professional opinion on her condition in a December 12 interview with TMZ, after seeing some photos and interviews Glanville has shared in regards to her recent health problems.
“What I’m concerned about with Brandi is that she has an infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she’s had injected. And here’s the thing, here’s what Brandi really needs to focus on, and it’s not her fault, it’s her doctor’s fault,” Dubrow shared. “Brandi needs a diagnosis. She has to figure out if there’s a microorganism in there. It’s not going to be a parasite, it’s not going to be from something she ate. It’s going to be from something that got into her bloodstream though, and seeded some foreign body. So Brandi needs a diagnosis.”
Terry Dubrow Calls Brandi Glanville a ‘Ticking Time Bomb’
In his TMZ interview, Dubrow went on to share that he thinks Glanville should act as quickly as possible in treating whatever condition she is suffering from, including potentially undergoing surgery to get a biopsy and determine exactly what is going on under the skin.
“At the end of the day, there are these two kinds of microorganisms,” Dubrow explained. “One’s called a microbacterium, and the other’s called a fungus, and they can be very difficult to treat, and can take 6 to 12 months of antibiotics to treat. And here’s the problem, Brandi, she’s like a ticking time bomb. Every minute that that microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage, she could suffer worse for it, it could be more difficult to treat, and she could form more scar and more nodules. “
Terry Dubrow Offers His Services
Dubrow ended his interview by plugging his services, saying, “Brandi, if you can’t get a diagnosis and you need help, the ‘Botched’ doctors are here for you.”
Dubrow works on “Botched” with Glanville’s former RHOBH co-star Dr. Paul Nassif. The pair had an up and down relationship while together on RHOBH in 2013, as Glanville spilled the secret that Nassif and his now-ex-wife Adrienne Maloof had used a surrogate to welcome their three sons.
While this incident caused a rift in Glanville’s friendship with the couple, she later confirmed during season 2 of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” in 2022 that she and Maloof were long past that and maintained their friendship, so it wouldn’t be out of the question for Glanville to go to Dubrow and Nassif for medical help, if the RHOBH alum wants to take Dubrow up on his offer.
