The #RHOP mom is celebrating her sons and herself after her split from ex-husband, Michael Darby.
Now that Ashley Darby is “officially” divorced from her ex-husband, Michael Darby, she is focusing on the future. The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member has so much to celebrate in her life, and she is showing how she can do that on her own.
Ashley took to Instagram over the weekend, where she revealed that she was in Los Angeles, attending Essence‘s Black Women in Hollywood luncheon. The mom of two sported a gorgeous pastel colored, short floral printed dress with puffy sleeves to rub elbows with Academy Award nominee and Wicked actress, Cynthia Erivo; RHOP cast members, Gizelle Bryant and Wendy Osefo; and The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 friend, Cynthia Bailey. It’s safe to say that she had a pretty amazing time being celebrated and hanging out with some awesome celebrities.
“A truly spectacular day with [Essence] for the Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I loved being able to celebrate such talented and incredible pioneers!”

Ashley also got in some major family time over the weekend when she celebrated her youngest son, Dylan Darby, who turned 4 years old. In a Reel posted to her Instagram account, Ashley captured all of the joy that her youngest son had at his superhero-themed birthday party, which he celebrated amongst friends, his older brother, Dean Darby, and their dad, Michael. In the video Dean can be seen running around, hanging out with Captain America and Spiderman, jumping up and down, unwrapping his presents, and having the best time ever.
“A wonderfully happy 4th birthday to my incredible, Lego-loving, funny, spunky, smart son Dylan!” Ashley wrote in the caption of the post. “We had a super fun time celebrating Super Dyl with all our friends yesterday! Thank you all for making it special!!”
Shortly after her divorce was finalized on Feb. 11, Ashley took to Instagram on Feb. 17, where she posted several photos that declared she was “officially divorced.” “Never did I imagine when I started this journey on RHOP that I’d eventually end my marriage,” she wrote in the caption of the first Instagram post. “I really made those vows with the purest heart and truest bliss. But alas – life had other plans. So like the nature of news, I’m rolling with the times and writing new headlines.”
“Life is certainly not all bubble baths and rosé, but neither of those hurt when tough times come our way,” she added in another post.
In the final post, she added “one more thing” about her divorce. “Truly trust the timing of your own life,” she concluded. “So many external voices try to infiltrate your thoughts and change your trajectory, but the only person who truly has to live in your earthly vessel is – you. Thankful for helpful guides along the way, and even more appreciative of God’s gifts of my health and faith.”
