The Truth Behind Caitlin Clark’s Meeting on Monday Revealed

Caitlin Clark was the talk of the town again on Monday after the fans learned about an intriguing event that featured the Indiana Fever superstar.

According to Fever beat reporter Scott Agness, Clark was at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana on Monday night. She reportedly met with legendary late-night show host David Letterman in a conversation that was open to the public.

Agness reported, however, that the event was “closed to the media” and that audience members were “required to put phones in pouches.”

The nature of the event piqued the interest of fans on social media, with most of them assuming that this was all part of Letterman’s Netflix series, “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.”

True enough, Ball State reporter Kyle Smedley later confirmed that Clark’s sit-down with Letterman was, in fact, a “taped episode” for the said show. Smedley went on to report that Clark was on stage with the 77-year-old host, where they spoke for 70 minutes in front of a sell-out crowd. At this point, however, the release date of Clark’s episode has yet to be announced.

Be that as it may, this development has generated a lot of excitement from the fans on social media.

“70 minutes 😭😭😭😭😭😭 BOOM SHAKALAKA YES GAWDDD,” a reaction on X read.

“this is going to be so good, dave is from indy and such a cc fan (attended a game with bluder),” pointed out a supporter.

“hell yessss, Lewis’ episode on there was amazing and Caitlin is the perfect guest,” commented another.

“YESSSS OH MY GOD,” an excited user expressed.

A number of audience members also revealed their experience watching Clark and Letterman, who is an Indianapolis native, on stage, and it appears that there is, indeed, a lot to be excited about for the upcoming episode.

“It was good, wish it was longer than a hour,” wrote a fan.

“Went and saw David Letterman talk to Caitlin Clark at Ball State tonight. Letterman is great. Caitlin Clark is awesome,” stated another.

“Fun night listening to a conversation between David Letterman and Caitlin Clark tonight at Ball State. You will get to see it too on Netflix in the future!” read a post.

Letterman’s “My Next Guest” is currently on its fifth season on the streaming platform Netflix. The first two guests on Season 5 were multi-Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Miley Cyrus and Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley.

Big-name guests from previous seasons include former U.S. President Barrack Obama, the always-controversial Kanye West and two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant.

Needless to say, Clark is joining some elite company as Letterman’s latest interviewee.
